Scrap the PIP 20 metre rule

The PIP 20 metre rule is failing people with MS. And people are losing their independence as a result. If you can walk just one step over 20 metres, the UK Government says you don’t need higher level mobility support.

New research shows this will cost the UK Government £92 million over three years – more than it will save by cutting PIP payments.

Now, the UK Government are reviewing their spending for the next few years. This is your chance to tell them the 20 metre rule simply doesn’t make sense – for the UK Government or people with MS.

Fill in your details below and on the next page you can send an email we've prepared to Work and Pensions Secretary Amber Rudd MP, to tell her now is the time to scrap the rule.

Your first name, surname, email address and postcode will be shared with Amber Rudd MP. The MS Society will use your email to send you an email confirmation.
