My MS. My Rights. My Choices project, Wales

I live with multiple sclerosis and started volunteering in 2006. At that time, I did not believe people understood the problems being experienced by those living with and affected by MS. Through working with my group, the MS Society and MS Cymru Council, I believe that I have helped others access the services they need.

Karin and Sarah

Karine and Sarah

Newly Diagnosed Service Co-production group, Scotland

We decided to turn Karine’s diagnosis into something positive. Getting involved in the newly diagnosed service co-production group was a way of giving something back to help others. Being enabled to do that was really rewarding. It makes you feel that you are having an impact, even if it only helps one person.

Campaigner, Northern Ireland

I live with multiple sclerosis every single minute of every day of my life. I feel a deep frustration and sadness that we at the MS Society have to fight endlessly to have our voices heard. I intend to keep up that fight through the ‘End the Wait’ campaign and I shall campaign tirelessly, while I am able, to end the unacceptably long waiting lists in Northern Ireland.
